Played Branson Hills Golf Club in Missouri. Rained 2 inches last night, so cart path only and not much roll on any balls. Did hit 10 of 14 fairways, other misses were in play just off edges. Course is more target golf, to score well, and putting on some greens was similar to miniature golf due to sever sloping, undulation and pin positions.

Bogies were results of both some missed greens, and 2 or 3 putts.

Overall happy to score this well not knowing all the ins and outs of the course, and could score even better next time I played it.

Monday, golf day (played 36 holes Sunday).  Practice more and play slightly less (but still more) has been working great for my scores and my handicap is reflecting it in its downward momentum.  Best note for the round 28 putts, and had at least 3 other holes where my birdies burned the edge but didn't drop.  Course management did not fail today, 6 bogies (no doubles) and 1 natural birdie (25' on 18) to finish the round +5.  Focusing on my greenside and sand game has really helped.  And not too many brain farts made it a great round. Long drive of the day was 13, double dog leg left, great drive cutting the 1st corner, but screwed up my approach and had to scramble for par...  Should have 2-3 more rounds this week and at least as many practice times.

My Monday round got my index to 9.8 YEAH!!! Pre-work golf round at PV today.  trying to get in a few more before the greens get punched this weekend.  Even with all of the fog, today was a beach day... 6 sand traps and was able to get up and down from 4 of them....Long drive was on 5 today, playing 290 today, left myself just over 20yds. to the green and missed my birdie from about 6' .  I am still trying to figure out if its focus, or what is happening but getting a birdie putt to drop has been my bane as of late.  I had 10 putts today inside 10 feet, 4 were for birdie made 0.  the 6 for par, I made 5....

Back to work...and work on my golf game.

Sorry crew just didn't have this week. Tried but to be honest just got burnt out and next to no energy. 

The tee shots were great minus one hole but just didn't find the rhythm with my irons or wedges. 

Being back on familiar greens made a world of s difference and had 3 or 4 lip outs. 

Taking a break for a little while and will pick up a club again next week.

Frustrating day. My ballstriking was awful (fore left!), but my chipping and pitching were the best they've ever been. That resulted in only 26 putts, which made my score much more respectable than it could have been.

I made par, net birdie, on all of the par 5s. The highlight was #7, where I made par despite a penalty stroke (unplayable). I thought I was laying up to the flat area 50ish yards in front of the green, but had a career 5 wood that left me pin high a few yards off the right. Almost holed my chip, left with less than a foot.

What a roller coaster round! Two doubles and two bogeys. This was offset by six birdies. The one double was because I drove the ball through the fairway behind a tree. The other was a par 3 that I hit it into the lip of a bunker. Both of those holes were unlucky breaks. However, that is golf. I hope my partner’s card lines up well with mine!!

Blue tees and course handicap from the Blues was a 0.

The supintendant of my course, Patriot Golf Course, Hanscom AFB, Mass., has told me that the course has had 43 inches of rain since June 1st of this year.  Yesterday was my 1st golf in nine days due to the wet weather.  Aggravated by the high water table and poor drainage in the area.

I am taking several days off from golf and will not be playing till the 29th of Sept.  My Achilles is acting up and needs to be rested.  During this period I will also take my Wife on a road trip to Maine to enjoy the foliage and a lobster or two.

That's incredible @WillRowland!  That's a lot of rain!  Having gone to school in Lowell, I know what the flooding can be like with that kind of rain!  Rest up over the next week and enjoy yourselves!

I gotchu Jaime, that's what teammates are for. My goal, birdie quest on the easy holes, pars on the handicap holes for net birdies, and who cares about the rest. I'd like to get like 6+ net birdies. You need me to make pars on my 4 hardest holes to offset your bogeys and then maybe nab some natural birdies on the easier ones. We've got this... hopefully.

Next trip I make to this area might be an opportunity to see if we could maybe get some Spies out for a get together round or two. 

This is my 3rd time to this area in the past 4 years. Meet friends from other states, we all drive in and hang out for a week or so.

Again, don’t know how to figure up net birdies and just put actual ones. It won’t let us put decimals either on course handicap.  

The reason it won't accept a decimal is that you're likely trying to input your handicap index not your course index.  The course index is a whole number calculated from your handicap index with the tees you played course rating and slope.  If you tell me which tees your played, I can do the rest.

Pretty ho hum round.  Made a nice birdie on 9 with a good approach from 180.  Proceeded to bogey 10.  Seems to be a theme with me....birdie, bogey.  Chipped in on 15 after a bad approach.

Is your handicap index still 2.9?  Also, from your scorecard it looks like the back tees are black with the blues being between the white and blacks.  Just trying to make sure you get all the strokes that you deserve.  Thanks!
