Big time Matrix fan here. I was always fairly confident the place wouldn't be shuttered altogether but that particular deep pockets golf group snapping up the brand/proprietary for pennies on the dollar is probably one of the better potential outcomes for people like me.

I got to swing the new black tie for testing. I loved the feel and performance, sadly it snapped after my first range session. Hopefully not a sign of things to come for product quality.

This is an interesting buy. Obviously having a backer like Wayne helps, but I also wondering if he may take some of that tech and spin it into the hockey field. I know True Temper makes hockey sticks in their fold and to get the Gretzky name on hockey products would be a big deal. Either way, good news for all you Matrix fans out there that your company isn't going away.

In short they were forced to shut down there offices and stop production last summer.

 

I can't recall all the details. But I believe it had something to do with their m financial instability. I think they owed alot of money to different vendors and things like that.

Was at Hockey Life last night and saw they make skates and gloves as well. Almost had a heart attack when I saw the price tag on them. And there's only one model!!
