Good morning MGSpies from still dark but not too cool WNY on this middle of September  Bills Win!!!  Monday only days from the Equinox so evening golf hours are shrinking fast for daylight.  Booting up for another zero commute workday  coffee about to decant from the carafe and thinking about Lean Lock Putter testing and tee time at 4:30, looking forward to this busy day!  Hope golf is a part of your day too

I had a busy weekend. Party with friends on Saturday that went very late, after my kids went to my parents. Then down and back 1 hour 20 minutes each way to pick them up. Still needed to get some things done including shopping so it was not a relaxing afternoon.

Got word my courses renovations are going so fast they are closing down for the season on Oct 1, so won't get to play much after that. Also makes me think will be tough to play much next year too as the front probably wouldn't be back open for a while.

I have some longer term concerns about the course I am working to express to them, but I'll skip the rant.

Good morning everyone. Great weekend looping at Arbor Links this weekend. Legs are tired after playing 27 holes on Friday and running 54 holes Sat/Sun but it was great spending that much time on a course. Another short week with a teacher workday planned for Friday. Supposed to get rain this weekend so we’ll see if my game can stay hot for one more match play round on Sunday. Otherwise, I got my coffee in hand and trying to convince myself that I’m actually excited to teach middle school kids today. Ready or not, here they come! Hope everyone has a great days head!

Brewing some coffee now and feeding the animals. Not quite crisp here yet, but very pleasant outside. Sounds like it’s going to be our turn for storms this week. Hoping it holds off this weekend as I’m supposed to drive down to Wichita to play with my friend who will be in town.  Fingers crossed .

Steady rain all night has left our area good and wet .. still grey and cloudy and drizzling so a good day to get more done on my indoor projects.

.. including putting together a new home office desk + shelving unit my wife got for me as an anniversary gift but mostly 'cuz she hates the unorganized mess that's in there now...

Good morning all!  TGIM!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend and enjoyed the Match Play and VGT rounds!  

Rain today, but the rest of the week is looking pretty good.  Time to figure out when I'm getting out there this weekend for this week's round!

It’s Monday, yuck Monday. Make of it as you will. No golf for me for a few days.
    First on the personal relationship front; Yay me!!! Got a reprieve and pardon from “ Husband Death Row “ by the supreme ruler of the family unit. Evidently the director of the charity and the wife person are friends/ acquaintances. According to the director, Holly, she attributes the increase in donations at their golf/auction event at least in part due to my theatrics. So… the leader of our pack is setting me free. Decided not to push it and get any attaboys as I still don’t know or remember who Holly is, the name of the charity, or what they do. 
   Preparing to head off to corporate headquarters for my career pathing review ( aka. What do you want to be when you grow up ). Strange part is the Household Highness has just strongly suggested  that if offered again this year that I at least consider the position of the on site International Hazardous Troubleshooting team leader.  She then kissed my cheek, smiled, and left the room while uttering “ Safe Travels”….. Yeah right.  
   As you start your week my spies, may I advise that you never allow family, work, or third parties define the metrics to be used in life…. Could very well hamper your desired outcome. Those that get to play golf today… Enjoy and play on your own terms.

It’s a very comfortable morning. Coffee, dog walk and a run. It’s a light day in Central New York. I have some repairs to perform on the carpet cleaner.
 

I am oddly driven by my Kindle app. It shows one’s reading streak so that is a bit motivating. I’m a few weeks away from a year straight. I tend to read WWII history.

Good morning spy's 

Fun week ahead for my, I am golfing 3 days, and tomorrow I am booked for a long waited fitting session to get fitted for iron shafts to try and help me 1. retain my desired carry distances 2. tighten my splatter pattern. 

I have reached out to a fitter that has a lot of creditability including working with former number 1 golfer in the world, Justin Rose. 

I will report on my experience.

Also it has been fun going into my golf offseason, I am experimenting with many things that I was holding off on until all my tournaments were finished. Funny thing is I usually revert back to my standard "swing thoughts" but some tests may stick.

Good morning all, and I will say one last time it is another cool, crisp morning in Wisconsin. Definitely feels like we have fully entered fall and the leaves are starting to turn. No golf over the weekend as we spent the majority of the day yesterday trying to find new clothes for our oldest son (WHY DO PANTS FOR SIX YEAR OLDS COST $30?!?!?!). Listened to the Pack blow a 4th quarter lead in a winnable game, but it's going to be an up and down year. Ended our day yesterday with a trip to pick up some mums and pumpkins to decorate our front step/door area. I hauled everything and left the decorating to SWMBO as she's got an eye for that type of thing. Hoping to get a new front door ordered this week and then get that installed before it gets too nasty outside. 

Hoping to hit the range this week on Wednesday over lunch, and then going to try and get the boys out on the course for some practice Friday after work as my wife is going to a country music concert with one of her best friends and my MIL. Week 3 match play round will be played either Saturday or Sunday, and here's to hoping I can shoot a lower score than in Week 2

Really excited about being chosen to test TheStack System. Reading up on The Stack and it's really interesting, never have used a speed system nor a launch monitor. Will be doing the unboxing today and posting it.

Made tee-times for mid and later week here, and a lot of other events and activities planned for the duration of our stay here.  Biggest challenge so far is the time difference, seems funny to be an hour behind now that I am in the Central Time zone. Good morning!

It's back to work for me after a fun weekend.  The band gig Saturday night was a total blast, and the venue asked us back ASAP, so that's all a plus.  That said, I should have played flute, not drums.  Anyone who thinks carrying a bag of clubs is tough:  don't volunteer as a roadie.

My first round of golf in a few weeks is set for late this afternoon.  I am very much looking forward to it, in sweater weather no less!

Witnessed my playing partner have a hole in one so that was great.  Really happy for him.  Was a great shot.  Key takeaway, no matter how your round is going, you never know what can happen with the next swing. 

Mixed weather here, but hopefully I will get a round or two in this week.

Good Morning everyone!!  It's 10º warmer this morning than yesterday, but the forecast is for 10º cooler than yesterday... must be the climate!  My wife is outside mowing the lawn; I'm having my second cup of coffee... perfect!

Not so perfect is the assessment on our house went up 23%.  I think everybody's home value went up 20-25% in the state, at least it did in our area.  Everyone is complaining about it.  A hefty increase for a fixed income!!

Good morning/afternoon, comprades! Who else in the midwest is LOVING this weather?

I had my first of four vein removal procedures this morning... so, that's fun. I will be glad when they are done, hopefully next month sometime. 

I have one more tournament late next month that I'm looking forward to. It's work sponsored, so that means a Friday off work in October to golf... shoo buddy! It doesn't get much better than that.

That's insane with no year over year caps on the assessment increase!!

There was a HUGE jump here on Long Island several years ago; things have kinda stabilized since .. ie. more modest annual increases.

Still - only moving in one direction, of course, and they get away with it in popular areas (you'd mentioned before your area had grown the past few years)...

Good morning MGSpies from my downtown parking spot outside the office where today's edition of the joy of working life will be no doubt as exciting as usual on this last Tuesday of summer in WNY Hot coffee and Fading by Blank &Jones on Pandora setting up a peaceful mindset remembering yesterday's 18 holes in 90 made exciting with rain and thunderstorms that rolled through with no clouds to ground strikes.  Talked to a threesome under a shelter about MGS Forum, and my LAB and Lean Lock putters. Life is made better with Forum friends tee time with regular partners this afternoon and hope golf is a part of your day too
