Happy Masters Sunday! Yesterday I played 9 early in the afternoon followed by watching the action at our club (with Masters themed adult beverages). Debating whether I should do the same today, but leaning towards just watching since it looks like it may go down to the wire.

Another early morning and another truck breakdown. 3rd time since last Saturday morning a blown steer tire a me up at 3-4am getting someone to go fix it. Oh well, that’s why I get to play golf during the week.  Most of my time critical issues happen between 10 pm and 10 am. The day time stuff is admin crap I can do anytime.

I'm planning on smoking a pork loin today for dinner tonight and other than that, I didn't have many plans.

That's a tough call. Option 2 by a hair as I am trying to figure out driver shafts for myself this year.

Good morning! Early morning workout for me this morning since 2 of the 3 kids woke up early.  
Now we’re getting ready for breakfast and then church and then hopefully most of my afternoon is filled with golf. Either me going out to play or watching the masters all afternoon! Hopefully all of you are able to enjoy a little bit of the masters today!

Morning All,

 

Coffee in hand and catching up on the going one in the world. Think I’ll just go get gas so I can mow the rest of my lawn today. I’m going to try and do that here in about an hour so I can kind of relax the rest of the day and watch the masters play out. Tomorrow I have to go get barium contrast for my CT scan on Friday morning. That’s going to be fun, second time I get to drink what I can only describe as snot that’s not yours. Anyhow, hope everyone has a great day, if you’re playing go low.

Happy Masters Sunday everyone. The roller coaster Saturday is going to make one hell of a story line going into today. I’m glad Tiger had a blowup because now he won’t be anywhere on the course taking all the attention away from what will be horse race finish. Would really like to see Homa win but I need Morikawa and Rahm to play really well too so I can win the Lamkin grips! If I’m not on the couch, I’ll be watching on my phone. Good morning Spies,

Happy Sunday from CT. Enjoyed golf yesterday. The wind was brutal though. The course was soggy. We had a tee time booked at a course. We arrived at the course only to find out that carts were not allowed due to rain. One of our foursome has a physical disability so walking isn’t an option. My friend booked it online and received no notification of the no carts. My home course emails whenever carts aren’t allowed. We were able to find a tee time at another course. 
 

@Jean D your simulator is inspiring envy. Well done.

Looking forward to the Masters final round. I would be happy if any of the top 3 were to win.

Good morning spy's

Looking back at my posts this week I started monday by saying I was really struggling with my game. And believe me all aspects, I felt, needed work, the whole process seemed really daunting.

I reverted back to my "tournament" routine of 10-15 bunker shots, 20-25 chips, then putting. 

Bunker thoughts-Hit 2 inches behind the ball, focus my eye on the impact spot, smooth swing, and always follow through

Chips- hands forward, eye on the back of the ball, pick a landing spot, head still and follow through.

Putting- 10 feet and in- face square, straight back straight through, follow through on intended line, listen for the ball to go in the cup,outside 10 feet-"feel" the distance, straight back straight through, keep head down until close to stopping.

took Tuesday off, played Wednesday shot 78-Thursday coming around shot 74, Friday shot 72 and yesterday shot 72 with 4 birdies on the back 9. 

So this week coming up I will continue my pre game routine and keep fine tuning all aspects.

Anyway enjoy Master's Sunday everyone...Should be a barn burner

Good Morning everyone!!  Haven’t been on the past few days; watching The Masters and playing golf.  I managed the best round of the year for me yesterday… 74 with a couple of birdies on par 3’s.  I had a couple of brain f@rts on two par 5’s that cost me a chance and at an even par round.  Beautiful day today with temps in the low 80’s, but only in the 50’s when we tee off.. layers will be peeling off fast!!

Lol. Only certain people (politicians?) from Toronto think they’re “the centre of the universe”.   Fortunately and thankfully, I’m not one of them. Some of the courses have opened up, most opening  up later this week.  Playing today, pending the rain. My home club, TPC Toronto, most likely another week to 10 days.

It’s Masters Sunday!!! I’m pumped, have the pork butt smoking, iced tea and fresh lemonade on hand, pimento cheese and some good crackers, we’re ready to have a day here in Oklahoma! I played in our MGA event yesterday and played really shockingly well for the first time in a few weeks. It was a monster team event so my play didn’t guarantee us anything but we ended up in 3rd but everyone was paired with someone in the masters and their score from yesterday was added to our total. Brooks Keopka really let us down

Master's Sunday and it looks to be an exciting final round in store. Would love to see Max peel back the majors' layer and break through but it will be a weel deserved win for whomever stands tall at the end of the day.

Good morning fellow spies and happy Masters Sunday!

Will Scottie hold his lead to win his second green jacket in three years? Will Max Homa notch his first Major championship and cement himself as one of the best players in the world (no extra reason needed IMO)? With Morikawa looking like an older version of himself with his irons, can he overtake Scheffler? Can Bryson regain his first round form and make a run? 

All should make for must see TV in today’s final round!

Good morning MGS Troops! Happy Masters Sunday! 

Hope everyone is enjoying their morning so far. I have a tee time @1030 so I slept in hence the tardiness of my post. But I’m ready to go this morning!

I’m going to be working on putting today although the greens are so slow that I should not even worry about it. I play a great course on Friday with fast greens so I can’t screw with my stroke too much. The spousal unit and daughter unit and girlfriend unit are headed to Casper to Jeffry Star’s store. The spousal unit wants some makeup before she gets surgery. I think they’re bringing home yak meat because Jeffry Star has a yak ranch there. Anyway have a blessed and happy Sunday, and happy birdie hunting!!!

Good morning MGSpies from 'the rains have moved past with thunder an hour ago' WNY with sunshine (hello sun!) filling in now the front has passed on this Masters final day Sunday 

The Resurgence/OnCore kickoff yesterday was amazing as always 

 

Today's Veteran event is the last of the season for the Veteran Rockers at Buffalo Curling Club  to finish day 2 of 2 for the tournament that should see my team dead last (just like my MGS Masters Pools - yes both of them lol) but like with golf it doesn't matter at all because it is the doing and being included that means more than anything else.

Hope golf is part of your day

Good morning Spies! My sim got it's first virtual round last night. Sorta. GF somehow unplugged the TV in the garage and I was unable to get the screencast re-established once it was re-plugged, so played my round on the Garmin app on my phone. Then the issues with iffy indoor distance on the Garmin surfaced again. It was showing my drives went 75 yards. I'm short, but not that short. On the bright side, it liked my short game; I had two pitches/chips from well off the green settle within one-putt range. The problem was, with 75 yard drives, I was one-putting for double bogey. I hung it up after six holes of that, which I played in +12.

Today? Watching my Arsenal (I'm actually a dues-paying member of Arsenal FC) try to regain the Prem lead, then driving to Charlotte, which is ~ four hours depending on whether I avoid toll roads. I'll be listening to the Masters on Sirius XM, I suspect. Might go hit balls at First Tee when I arrive, depending on the status of the Masters.

I like Option 2. Unfortunately I'm ineligible for either option, but that's okay. My Fit For Golf test is encouraging/forcing me to do something I've needed to do for ages (work out systematically), with the added benefit of hopefully some more club head speed/distance.
