I bought a Paradym TD several weeks ago and traded it for a regular Paradym within 30 days. Obviously, the TD didn’t do it for me. Sadly, some knee issues kept me off the course for 3 weeks, but I was able to play 9 out of 10 days around the 4th holidays. I loved the hosel design of the Callys but the regular Paradym wasn’t doing it either. Too much spin. I was wondering now that my knees were better, should I give the TD another run. I had until the 11th to make the decision. 

Then Friday, I ended up playing a full 18 with a Qi10 LS. Well, the results gave me the “club-hornies” for a Qi10LS. I mounted a TM Sleeve on my TPT shaft and went to 2nd swing this morning with the intent to leave with the Qi10 LS but also wanted to try the Mizuno ST230 Max. 

I told the fitter exactly what I wanted to do, and we started hitting my SIM2 on the TPT to loosen up. Then several variations of the Mizzy, and finally the Qi10 LS.  Mizzy wasn’t even close to what I needed. I had just about decided on the Qi10 LS, but asked to hit the Stealth 2 Plus on my shaft. I expected it to be a bit slower, perhaps a touch more spin and lower launch.

I was wrong. 

For me, Stealth 2 Plus was average 2 mph faster ball speed, slightly faster swing speed, 200 rpm’s less, 2° more launch and this translated to 14 more yards. An added benefit was he picked a slightly used one with the “cheapest” shaft since I would be using the TPT, and it was nearly $300 cheaper. Even swap for my Paradym experiment. 

My first round with it will be tomorrow and perhaps my driver dilemma is solved.

So not sure if this proves working late at night will get me in trouble spending money or find me good deals . Would normally already be asleep when I notice an alert for the bid about to end for something I had forgot I even followed. Through a bid at it full expecting it to get beat but I guess with how late it was no one was watching so I ended up with these. 

But I guess $180 after tax and shipping it will be a not to expensive fun experiment. The seller cleaned all the rust off before selling but the groves in the pictures still look good. And since they removed the paint fill maybe I will have some fun with that.

I spent more money than I had when I pulled midnight shifts with my newborn and my wife preferred me not sleeping while holding him. Might have been cheaper to hire a night nurse

Picked up a couple more Titleist Player's gloves and a set of Footjoy coasters on clearance. I had been in the FJ StaSof for the last couple years and then tried the Titleist  early this year - they don't last quite as long as they are much thinner, but man I love the feels! I'm hooked!

Just a "follow-up" to the estate sale putter find I posted a bit earlier.

3 of the 4 are headed to their new homes of some other MGS forum members, with arrivals expected no later than close of business on Friday. 

Hopefully the new owners will also post in this topic once they are received.

Ok spies, I need answers from a numbers guy..I know the difference in the flexes of shafts but recently a few guys I know got senior shafts for there drivers and are absolutely killing the golf ball.. Monster drives! These guys are my age and swinging 105+.. Am I missing something?

Most of the long drive guys use super whippy shafts, same reason why the AutoFlex works for some.

I think the whippier shafts provide a little extra kick, but as far as I can tell, you are limiting your accuracy.

I know I'm gonna get ripped for this but whatevs..

With the weather hitting constant 115° + multiple days in a row, golf is just something I dream of doing at the moment.. with golf on the sidelines, I needed to resurrect my previous passion. Been playing since I was 12 but haven't owned an instrument for the past 5 years. 

Bought this Fender California series Newporter "classic" edition. Full solid mahogany body and neck (in golf club speak "full solid" is like a "forged" guitar ). The color is kinda wild but cool at the same time. Plays and sounds like any of the best guitars I've owned. Picked it up mint for $300. I don't do any other forums or social media so I'm sharing here

Definitely tread carefully @3Putt4Double because @IndyBonzo got me to go down the Otto-Phlex road and I haven't turned back. All I will say is....

 

It does take a couple outs to get used to.

I did See this I was doing some of my own research and found a ton of info on these clubs and heard nothing but good things so I waited and when I found a decent set I took it.

Ok.... Consider my interest piqued and my holes filled with rabbits... 

I went through some of the list, and specifically look at all the Adams clubs they had listed.

I'm very, VERY curious how this list was devised. 

There's no way they tested all of these clubs, or at least I have a hard time believing they did, and some of them seem way out of whack imho. 

They have XTD irons listed as "super game improvement", while having a30S hybrid irons as just "game improvement".

There are a bunch of parameters listed on the chart that I'm oblivious to like "C" Dim. and Basic VCOG, but head weight, loft, and M.O.I are also taken into the calculation.

I’ve been eyeballing a couple on FB Marketplace and to get brand new at this price is awesome! Will definitely post pics this weekend.

Yeah, I think you’re missing out on some extra distance. Might have to try out the “gray hair” shafts and see what happens.

I told my wife I didn't need anything else for a couple years club wise.. Now u got me looking at senior 50g shafts.. She's prolly gonna leave my tail and make child support the exact price of an auto flex shaft so I can think about that every month when I pay it

That is why you can do the Otto-flex route;  the shafts are in the $40 range

A reliable source has told me that the guy that started that thread has been threatened divorce many times by his wife.. and yet he continues to ride the line between new $50 shafts and a failed marriage. He's both a legend and a complete idiot.

That's hero type stuff there.. @Michael.Sandoval33 might need a couch to sleep on by the time this otto-phlex experiment is done.. Surely my non golf playing wife will understand when I'm getting 30 more yards though
