Went to play it again sports to find a cheap stand bag to take to HHI next month. I found a pretty much new Srixon bag 4 way full length dividers for 40 bucks, but i looked at some of the clubs and found a TMag MiniDriver 12° for 40 bucks as well. So I threw that in the bag. It's too bad I am not RH, they had a set of 4 SCOR wedges 48, 52, 56, 60 that looked brand new, 100 bucks for all 4.

Was this on eBay and in R flex ? If so, I almost went head to head with you to buy it, LOL. Thought about it as an experiment. Currently have the Evenflow Blue 65G is S flex.

Yes and yes. It's not the Handcrafted but a "Made in China" version, but that's what I was expecting at that price. Just have to get it trimmed and tipped. If I hate it I'll keep you mind!

We are going Oct 11-14. We're playing 2 rounds Friday palmetto dunes, Fazio in the morning, RTJ in the afternoon, on Saturday we play Harbor town in the afternoon, and Sunday morning we are playing Old South

As I slowly become more and more attracted to the persimmon era game I don't have as much to share here on MGS. But, if any of you appreciate some nice wood, I picked up two sets of Stan Thompson woods. Both sets are absolutely beautiful. The brown set looks to be totally original with no refinish, almost a new set. The blondes show a bit of wear but are really a knockout.

Aldila VS Proto Hybrid 80S stiff-flex shaft for my 3H.

Project X 6.0 graphite iron shafts (stiff) for all my irons.

 

Obviously I'm switching everything I got from mid-flex to stiff... and while I'm at it, I'll also get my irons re-adjusted for lie angle so that they "fit" better. They are 1.5* up and I should be closer to 2* up. Minor yes, but this has been bugging me lately...OCD is a b****!

Also just caved-in and snapped up a barely used 33" PING Vault 2.0 B60 in copper finish off of the "bay" for $165 + ship. Not bad considering they start at around $300. Comes with the head cover and has a GP Tour SNSR grip (yuck) on it but also includes the original PING PP60 grip. Excited for this since PING's nFLIGHT fitting always seems to put me into this model and I hope the bigger mass it has over my current blade will help settle down my dispersion.

I friggin love my B60. It is a wonderful putter, you will really like it. I have even thought about buying 2 or 3 more in case I lose or damage it...

Great to hear and I am very stoked to put it to use!

 

Sometimes you just gotta pay attention to the "hints" you get on things sometimes and this one was one of those times. Like I said, nFlight just kept popping that thing up and then I started watching these YouTube videos of this fella in Thailand (Matt with Golfsidekick). He was having similar issues with his blade that I have and he switched to a mid-mallet and his putting came alive. Now I'm nowhere near the golfer he is, but what the hey... Worth a shot. And it's beautiful too!

So I bought this TMag Minidriver a couple weeks ago at play it again for 40 bucks. It has a matrix 60 Xflex in it 12°, I was struggling with driver for a bit so I just pulled it out and started using it. Prior to putting it in play I hit it about 10 times on the range. Man I love thing. I am pretty darn accurate with it. And I am only about 10 yards short of my full driver.  It’s 43.5 inches long so set up is just like my 3 wood.

Grip tape! Just had all my irons and hybrid reshafted at GG, but I did all the grips myself and have the blisters to prove it too...!

Mate, blow them on and off with air, no tape, solvent or anything else needed...including blisters.

So not a club.. But for golf nonetheless.. When doing the Bridgestone wedge review I made some golf swing videos. Took my own videos with my phone and was a huge PITA. The videos however have really helped me improve my swing mechanics and tempo.. And fix some swing quirks too.

Additionally I want to post some more approach videos in the Bridgestone review and in the event that I'm ever chosen again down the road, I'm set.

I can control the camera remotely from about 100 ft away. Takes really clean vids and photos.

Was up in the Twin Cities today and spent, uhh, let's say, a lot of time in Golf Galaxy. 

They had a really nice set of Ben Hogan FT Worth 15 irons for really, really cheap. I don't think the person that priced them knew that they were nice clubs. I hit them a bunch and finally had to decide that I didn't have the game for them. It was quite difficult to put them back. They were sooo nice when I hit the well, just couldn't do it frequently enough.

 I hit a whole bunch of other players cavity irons and am now on the lookout for a nice used set of I 200/210's.

I actually ended up with:

Ecco Biom 3 shoes, I finally found shoes to fit my feet. If you need shoes with a wide toe box, these are for you! I don't know why FJ, UA, and most others think people have such long narrow feet. 

2 TM TP golf gloves, I didn't know that there were golf gloves that were the soft!

And A towel, clay based soil in MN is a pain!

Bought a couple dozen Snell balls with the deal going on for MGS members.

Also picked up a Wilson Staff Triton driver.  Did I need a new driver?  No.  Will it make it into the bag?  Who knows.  But I am always on the lookout for interesting/good deals on eBay.
