Unofficial Poll - White Pants

Just curious who owns at least one pair of white golf pants.  And further - who actually wears them? 

I own two pair, and wear them both in my golf attire rotation.

Never wear them at the club but on holiday and special away days.

 

As they say in Scotland "You'd get the p!sh taken out of you"  for wearing white trousers at the club,

Also no and no. Light khaki is as light as I'll go. And I don't personally know any male who plays golf in white pants or shorts. Fine for pros and women, not for anyone I know.

Absolutely not.  I own nothing white.  I could be 20’ away from a jar of salsa and somehow it ends up on my lap.

I have white pants & shorts. Wear them frequently, weather permitting. Always preferred very light khaki color to traditional darker then I finally gave in and bought the white. I really like them. And my white belt too.

I have a pair of adidas stone color pants they are not white but about the closest I would get to white and they got dirty just pulling them out of the box haha .. super comfy and prob my fav pants but get dirty to fast

I think they are like white belts and you can only pull them off if you are skinny.

White pants, not for me.  I DO have a paid of very light beige or "natural" linen shorts, but I don't think I've ever worn them golfing.  I'm always temped by white pants because they can look real crisp with the right outfit and tailored properly, but I know that I'm not that guy and they would look sloppy on me.

I can't even really do white polos like Mark can... not without an undershirt anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose.

No doubt they'd have coffee stains on them as soon as they came out of the washer too.

Thanks, I didn't realize that option existed...I'll definitely use that in the future for my unofficial curiosity polls.

No and No.

I don't necessarily have anything against white pants or belts but it does seem that golf sometimes devolves into it's own look that can be really off-putting to those not on a golf course. It's not as bad now with golf styles but there for awhile (like 5 - 15 years ago), golf clothes almost looked like a costume if you weren't on a course. Nothing against golf having it's own look but dang, some golf clothes combos should just be avoided. I don't want to sound counter-culture but I also find people dress in western wear (pearl snaps, pressed jeans) for country concerts and that certain earth-tone get-up the folks at the shooting ranges wear just feels a little forced. Golf can be the same way. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't like it when people go out of their way just to achieve a certain look.
