Ugh.  No warm up as it was a last minute decision to play a round.  Booked it 45 minutes before tee off, had to drive there, lace my shoes from a wash after the last round, get set up, checked in and back across the parking lot to the tee.  Also sunscreen and toss a few warm beers into the bag.

Just couldn't get into a good swing until the 12th hole or so.  Putting went fairly well but had a few disasters.  Still working on tightening up short game, which I think is progressing but left myself with many a long shot.  Lost my roll on 15, ending my bogey streak with a short putt for a tap in double. Then carnage resumed.
 

Will have to update this with LD as my watch didn't charge and quit just before the end of the 9th hole.  I hit some good ones, but mostly with the 4W and not much further than 200 yards.  Biggest loss of score during the day was how many balls I couldn't find after I hit.  Probably lost 12 balls.

INTO THE MYSTIC!   Foggy foggy morning....got worse about a 1/2 hour into it.  I had to drive up to the green on 5 to make sure I didn't kill this guy, i knew he was out there somewhere but I couldn't see him from 175 out.  The whole round I had to rely on my yardages and shadows of landmarks that I could make out.  Couldn't see any pin locations....got up and down a few times, had a sandy, and shot 2 over!  One of my better rounds of the year.   Just aim for the middle!

Had a great front 9, shot a 41 but completely lost the swing to open the back 9 doubling 4 of the first 5 holes. Got it back to finish the round with 3 pars. 2.2 putts per hole isn't going to cut it either. Putter didn't feel bad but 50% greens hit only goes so far when your hitting the wrong parts of the green.

Snuck in a twilight round where we walked 18 in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Hit the ball great outside of one hole and generally feeling good about my game. Unfortunately my HDCP is dropping so posting a good net score is getting harder and harder

I played well, had a few arrant shots but recovered exceptionally well, putting was spot on, even better was reading the greens must have had superman vision.

I hope I can keep playing the way I have been the past several weeks, got the county tournament coming up at the end of the month, looking to finish on top!! no more runner ups!

Strange brew today.  It was a feast or famine day. 4 natural birdies and 5 natural double bogeys.  Best driving day in a long time.   First time I have 3 putted in a couple of months, as 2 of the 5 doubles came as a result of 3 putt greens.  In both cases I had 20 footers for par and ran it 10 feet past and missed the comeback putts.

Today was an interesting day.  It was filled with good shots and some...well let's just say, not so good.  I had an unusual solid front nine shooting 5 over (40) with five pars.  The front is usually my nemesis.  On nine, I hit one of my three bonehead tee shots, just clearing the senior's tee.  43 on the back gave me a score of 83 (+13).  

The upside is that I had one more green in regulation more than I typically get.  The four up and downs included one more sandy par.  That's four in two rounds.  I thought my playing partners were going to have me pee in a cup to have it drug tested!  The 28 putts included four that either were on the lip or did a 180 turn around the cup and stayed out.  Even with that, I felt I was putting pretty well.  I had a severe uphill 44 foot putt on our first par five (on in regulation) that I snuggled up to the pin with a tap in par.  My short approach game was on today, or it would have been much worse!  The 57% fairways in regulation was uncharacteristically poor today.   I'm not sure if it was me just being lazy or the heat getting to me.  Likely me just being lazy!

Overall, it was a good day.  It was my lowest score in a couple of weeks and we won $10 to boot!

Wasn’t going to play today. However, after yesterday had to get back out there. Afternoon golf in hot Texas means a fast round and only serious players! Played the front 1 under. Then got extremely hot. Made 6 birdies on the back and shot 30 on that side. Only had 26 putts. Only 10 putts on the backside. Hit 14 greens and struck the ball extremely well. Hoping to ride this wave for awhile. You can see from the pictures how close I was hitting the Callaway Paradym irons today!

It felt as though I couldn’t hit my ass with either hand on some holes while at the same time on others I acted like I actually knew what I was doing. To shoot under 90, I couldn’t believe it.

First 3 holes, nice and steady, then 6 straight doubles to close out the front.  Just throwing away shots. Back was steadier but not good.  8 bogies and 1 par.  Drove the ball reasonably well, couldn't hit the middle of the face of any club from there to the green, couldn't get ANY 1 putt greens.  Beautiful day, great golf course, good pace of play, and paired up with another single at random and it turned out to be a great pairing.,  Can't complain about the round, just the score was disappointing.

Well my swing has returned! Not sure if it's the lower temperatures, humidity or just me or a combination!  Regardless I'll take it.
