PlaidJacket 7,725
I haven't done a lot of research but don't understand driving irons. I am guessing it is a really low lofted iron that has a really low cog to help off the tee? Not sure how it really differs from a hybrid off the tee except maybe for feel. I personally love hitting my hybrid off the tee on shorter par 4s and as I mentioned don't understand the theory behind driving irons. Here's the theory.... sales & marketing!!! It's known as dream it up, package it, and sell it. Who knows, next year might be the year of the KD8i knock-down 8i. It will have a special sole grind and face characteristics along with a specially developed knock-down matrix fiber flow shaft designed just for pulling off perfect knock-down shots effortlessly - every time. TM, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, everyone will lobby the USGA to write a new rule where you can carry 15 clubs. One of them must be either the KD8i or a driving iron. 4 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour Link to post

excourse 691
With the true fit beta test underway, the forum testing is beginning for 2018 and will probably be off and running before we know it. It's no secret here that the member tests are a big part of the community. Each open call gets hundreds or thousands of applicants and those announcements are always exciting days no matter the product or the lucky selections. So brass tax, cards on the table.....based on all the sneak peeks and hints and rumors, what products or categories are you hoping to test this year and why? I know the easy answer is "all of them!" but try to pretend like you only get to apply for one or two. Sent from carrier pigeon using MyGolfSpy Putting is the best part of my game, so first choice us obviously a flat stick. Staying with the around the green theme, next choice would be a wedge.Pick me pick me pick me, I'm retired and have the time to offer a detailed review. SuperDave 541
We'll, my quick answer may be nothing. After my last test, I felt a little disappointed in myself. So, if I apply for anything I want to make sure I have the time to test it properly and it's a product I believe I can give a real opinion about whether I think it is good or bad. If such product comes up, I'll apply. If not, I'll just enjoy reading the reviews of the products that I'm interested in. For example, I seen a couple of people mention Evnroll putters. I would love to "try" one of those. I want to be a better putter and MGS says this is one of the best and I trust that. However, I'm not sure if I could test and give a good opinion of how it performs. Therefore, I wouldn't submit for that just to get a freebie. Camcmart 849
I'd LOVE to test out the Wilson Staff C300s and compare them to the D300s that I got last year and then donate whichever set I don't like. Aside from that, any wedges interest me greatly since that's the best part of my game and my SM5s are nearing their departure from use. I'd love to try some Cleveland, Mizuno, Titleist or Callaway wedges. I love my current putter, I'd definitely test a new grip, though. I'm content with my current driver and fairway woods, and Cobra has the only hybrids I might be interested in testing. Charli 913
New m3/4 driver envroll putter mizuno wedges. I want to see what the twisted face is all about. Just listening to the description it's a great infomercial product .. envroll putters a friend said are God's gift and I'm the one who told him to give them a try.. and finally I want to see how good those mizuno's really are. I know the t7's tested very well last year. See how they can improve an already dominate product. Or they just keep it the same and watch the wedge game scramble to catch up. Quote Link to post

Kegger 449
I would love to test some training aids. Canucklehead 1,634
Thanks. I am familiar with the draw/hook bias of hybrids as I experienced that as I was doing my search. I guess driving iron sounded too limiting and I never gave them a chance. Fortunately for me I found a hybrid that works well for me.Off the turf is a little different than a normal iron. Personally would've just put some lead tape on my hybrid if I didn't use it off the tee as much Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk Quote Link to post
Canucklehead 1,634
Cobra driving iron helps tone down the rope hooks!? I might need to look at one of those although my swing speed would be a deterrent. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I'm sure most would stop the hooks. Done me wonders! Heck it doesn't hurt to try. Might be able to find a shaft for your swing speed! Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk 1 Quote Link to post
