What color of socks do you wear?

In the summer I wear white socks, but in the winter, when my shoes are black, I wear black socks.  This has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read.  Even by golf course standards of dress codes, this one has me just shaking my head at the stupidity of it all.

I was reading that earlier wondering how in the heck that's a rule, golf has some crazy rules but for a club to do this is ridiculous.

 

I know, their course their rules but it's still stupid to me.

This "rule" from this club is ridiculous IMHO, though until they change it it is their prerogative to enforce if they so choose. Good luck with that! Just dumb...

My orthopedic socks from the medical supply website some in two colors--black and white.

 

I'm screwed if I wear brown slacks, true enough, but grief at the golf course is more than I'd expect.

White most of the time in the spring/summer while in shorts. My shoes are white. When I do wear pants I got a few pairs of sweet Foot Joys that are navy and various designs.

I have many colors of Kentwool socks, and will usually match my sock color to my shirt if possible.  I do this of course with white shoes and shorts.  When the temperature drops, I wear pants with dark shoes and Kentwool Tour Standard socks, mostly in black but I also have navy.

Black for black shoes , white for white or gray shoes. But then all the socks are short and just come over the shoes so it's hardly noticeable.

I have many colors of Kentwool socks, and will usually match my sock color to my shirt if possible.  I do this of course with white shoes and shorts.  When the temperature drops, I wear pants with dark shoes and Kentwool Tour Standard socks, mostly in black but I also have navy.

I was also reprimanded by an official at the same course for arriving at the car park without a jacket on!! it was 80*F

I played the course (as I was an invited guest) but never been back. It's a well know 'snobby' course.

That one sure way to discourage young people to take up golf.
I’ve been to many upscale Golf Courses in Northeast but none that bad.
